We bring you greetings from Robinson & Center Church of Christ in Conway, Arkansas. Conway is home to the University of Central Arkansas. The Lord's church at Robinson & Center is the home congregation for the Bears for Christ ministry on UCA's campus. The campus ministry also is known as the Church of Christ Student Union or CCSU.
Robinson & Center is now conducting an active search for a campus minister. With the Lord's blessings we will have a new minister in place by the beginning of the Fall '09 semester. Regardless we would like to take this time to assure you that the elders and members of R & C remain committed to the students, the community and to this ministry, which is now in its 20th year.
We want to extend a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all the congregations that support the Bears for Christ ministry through prayer, financially or other services. We also ask that you prayerfully consider continuing your support of the Lord's work at UCA and even in greater capacities as these young Christian students allow our Lord to work in and through them to carry God's message to the world.
Additionally, as this fall semester approaches, we ask that if your congregation has young men and/or women attending UCA please contact us and we will do our best to provide for them “a home away from home”. That, in fact, is what we want to provide for these students... a Christian family who will nurture and guide them and be “adoptive parents” for them. Helpful information includes their names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses if available.
We appreciate your prayers and ask again that you prayerfully consider supporting the Bears for Christ ministry in whatever capacity you can. Your support will help make it possible to continue this great work for the Lord's kingdom in Conway and outward. We, at R&C are blessed to have these students in our lives but we understand that as most of these students complete their education they will begin careers and establish homes all over the world. Our prayer is that God’s influence will continue to light their path.
